Recover deleted Mac partition using Mac Recovery Software

Partitions on a hard drive help PC users to organize the data and make use of the available disk space effectively. Partitions help the users not only in installing the operating system effectively on a partition and using the other partitions for data storage, but they can also be re-partitioned in case the user wants to change the arrangement of partitions based on their size. Partitions are a common feature both on Windows and on Mac OS X. On Mac OS X they are usually referred to as volumes unlike in Windows where they are referred to as partitions.

The volumes on Mac OS X are a little different from their counterparts i.e. the partitions on Windows. Unlike in Windows, where the partitions are named from the letter C, Mac OS X has volumes that are named as A, B etc and therefore while the operating system is usually residing on the C drive on Windows, the Mac operating system is stored on volume A of Mac. Another difference is in terms of the different file systems made use of in both these operating systems. While Windows partitions are usually NTFS or FAT formatted, volumes on Mac are usually HFS+ or HFSX formatted. Another difference is that while FAT and NTFS formatted drives are compatible on Windows, only FAT formatted drives are compatible on Mac OS X.

In Windows users can take the help of the Disk Management utility to re-partition the hard drive, while on Mac OS X we make use of the Disk Utility to do the same. There are certain differences between how re-partitioning can be done on both the operating systems. On Windows, the user can delete a single partition and can divide the empty space into two new partitions. However, this is not possible in Mac. A Mac user has to compulsorily alter all the partitions on the hard drive to either divide or merge volumes. This can sometimes turn out to be a discomfort for Mac users.

While re-partitioning a single volume by dividing them into multiple volumes or when merging multiple volumes into a single one, the user might end up accidentally deleting an entire partition on the hard drive. This could result in loss of data present on that particular partition. As deletion of a partition on Mac results in loss of entire data including the Apple Partition Table, while in Windows it does not happen in this manner. However it is possible to recover deleted Mac partition using a good Mac volume recovery software as the data is not deleted permanently.

However, it is very important to make use of a good Mac Recovery Software to recover the deleted volumes. This is essential as using the wrong software may result in permanent loss of the data. Remo Recover (Mac) software is capable of recovering the deleted partition and restoring the lost data back to the volumes. This Mac Recovery Software searches for the deleted partition and then recovers the data on the partition with ease.
